Optime Subsea choose PartnerPlast

We are delighted to announce that PartnerPlast AS has been chosen by Optime Subsea AS for the supply of Buoyancy and Bend Restrictors with a custom made Hang-Off clamp.

This will aid in supporting the umbilical on the Subsea Control & Intervention Light System (SCILS) founded by Optime Subsea.

Recently, the system successfully completed a two well Plug & Abandonment campaign on the Jette Field and an XT commissioning on Alvheim, saving rig time, personnel and equipment.

Optime Subsea’s SCILS moves the hydraulic control from topside to subsea, resulting in no need for topside container and a dramatic reduction in size of the umbilical and reel.

– We used our experience in creating buoyancy and cable protection to find the best solution to the challenges presented to us. In addition, we developed a simple and effective Hang-off clamp for the buoyancy elements, just using the Bend Restrictor elements as a basis.
