Marking Lines and Booms
Our marking lines and booms serve crucial functions in ensuring safety and marking hazards in watercourses and reservoirs.
Marking and safety lines act as clear warnings to third parties, signalling potential dangers and also serving as rescue lines.
Permanent and emergency booms are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, for directing and gathering debris, managing acute pollution, and signalling danger to individuals.
Our expertise
Marking Lines - a clear warning
Aqua Guardian SL-155 marking and safety lines have two main functions in relation with energy production in waters and water systems. One of these functions is to give a clear signal of potential hazards in and by waters and water systems. The other is to perform as a rescue line.
The size chosen for the floating elements enables them to be visual when needed and at the same time fade into the landscape at a distance. In the event of someone falling into the water, the floating elements are designed and fitted to the line so one can easily pull oneself ashore from float to float
A recognizable symbol
After presenting this product in the winter of 2010, we have delivered more than 25 000 metres to Norwegian hydropower producers. The product value will increase with the extensiveness of lines placed in and by waters and water systems, as people travelling along these areas recognize the visual signal and relate it with danger.
Permanent and Emergency Booms
The PB600 is created with solid, permanent floating elements and a particularly thick fabric. This boom will endure contact with a quay, boat or a ship. This boom withstands freezing into thick ice and is almost impossible to sink.
Our emergency boom, the SB series is a very easy-to-handle skirt that is easy to lay out and pick up. We often deliver it on a trailer with sections connected to a 200 meter long boom. We have delivered several such trailers across the country
Booms - Areas of Use
Our booms have the following areas of utilization;
- Directing debris (branches, grass, etc.)
- Gathering debris
- Gathering of acute pollution.
- Signaling danger to a third person
We provide a mechanical positioning system that allows the boom to stay in place through changes in the water levels.
