Currently, several of our products are made from 100% recycled plastic materials, which is quite unique within our segment. These recycled materials not only fuel our new products, but also champion a circular economy and minimize waste.<\/p>\nBy using recycled polyethylene instead of virgin material, greenhouse gas emissions associated with the material can be<br \/>\nreduced by up to 75%, based on estimates and carbon footprint studies.\n<h5><b>Our goal? <\/b><\/h5>\n<p>Make recycled materials a major component of our future products. We aim to be a driving force in ensuring that plastic is collected and recycled instead of ending up on land or in landfills.<\/p>\n<p>A portion of our revenue is dedicated to research and development in this field, and we also focus on reducing packaging throughout the value chain.<\/p>\n<p>Most of our products are designed for use at sea, and if they end up in the wrong places, they pose a potential threat to nature and marine life&#8217;s pollution. On the other hand, our plastic products have an extended lifespan in their original function, and can be recycled repeatedly.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024 we became members of <a href=\"https:\/\/holdnorgerent.no\/about-hold-norge-rent-keep-norway-beautiful\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Keep Norway Beautiful<\/a>, a non-profit membership organization working against littering.<\/p>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tProducts gone astray\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>Our products are marked and traceable. If a product accidentally ends up in the wrong place, it can be identified, traced back to the owner, and returned.<\/p>\n<p>To enable us to organize the return and possible retrieval of the product, we need the following information: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Description of the product with a picture, approximate size, color, and any other distinctive features. <\/li>\n<li>Serial number if visible. <\/li>\n<li>We would also need an address\/location description where the product was observed\/found.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please contact us at if a product has gone astray.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"mailto:info@ovun.com\" target=\"_self\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tContact us\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tLocal action for the community\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>Ovun takes local responsibility by helping clean up decommissioned plastic products in Rauma, including our own items and also older aquaculture products like buoys and plastic boats. This initiative addresses the legacy of Rauma&#8217;s long history of plastic production, where products were often passed on for private use. By supporting residents and removing old plastic waste-especially after a local outreach campaign in 2023-Ovun contributes to a cleaner environment and reinforces its commitment to sustainability in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Ovun actively supports community well-being through sponsorships and local initiatives. We participate in regional partnerships like &laquo;Partnership for Nature Joy&raquo; in Rauma and are involved in programs such as Internship Romsdalen.
